On May 17th, 2026, Egdehirden proudly participated in Kristiansand’s traditional Borgertoget parade as part of Norway’s Constitution Day celebrations.

Marching through the city in historical Viking clothing and equipment, our members represented historical martial arts, Viking-age culture, and the growing historical combat community in Kristiansand. With shields, helmets, swords, and axes on display, we were happy to see so many people showing interest, taking photos, and cheering for us along the parade route.

Events like Borgertoget are a great opportunity for us to share living history with the public and inspire new people to discover historical combat, reenactment, and HEMA.

A big thank you to everyone who walked with us, supported us, and came by to talk during the celebrations.

We look forward to future events, trainings, and welcoming new members to Egdehirden!
