We are thrilled to attend this year’s Vinter, hosted by Vikverir in Halden! It’s a weekend where many teams come together for massive group battles and exciting training sessions. Egdehirden will be bringing a full force of 12 warriors to participate in both Western and Eastern medieval/Viking combat.
However, Vinter isn’t just about Viking and medieval fighting; the event also features HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and various workshops, offering the opportunity to dive into different combat techniques. People from a wide range of historical combat interests gather here, making Vinter a highly diverse and educational experience.
In addition to the battles themselves, Vinter is renowned for its friendly, social atmosphere, where participants can make new connections, reunite with old friends, and share knowledge in an informal and inclusive environment. We look forward to returning home with fresh skills, inspiration, and plenty of memorable stories from Halden.
